Project Location

The project location is in seven regions (Central, East, Northeast, West, North, South, and Southeast)

the trainees will be selected from the 34 provinces (Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Balkh, Faryab, Jawzjan, Samangan, Saripul, Kandahar, Nimroz, Helmand, Zabul, Uruzgan, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Wardak, Logar, Kabul, Daikundi, Bamyan, Farah, Herat, Ghazni Badghis and Ghor).

Project Duration

The project started in October 2020 and will be completed at the end of December 2021. The project implemented by OCCD and funded by WHO. The overall objective of initial training is, to fill the gap between qualified and unqualified health workforce by training 400 vaccinators which makes The quality of EPI services improved.

Project implementation

The project started in April 2018, the training was held in Kabul and Herat but the participants were from 34 provinces of Afghanistan it was funded by UNICEF and implemented by OCCD in close coordination with MoPH/NEPI, following the completion of the project in march 2019 in all two batches, MoPH and NEPI acknowledged OCCD’s quality project implementation through a formal letter.
