Improved access to quality education for boys and girls affected by conflicts and displacement in Kandahar province

Under this project OCCD aims to enhance access of the girls and boys in underserved communities in Kandahar province to quality education and improve the access of at least 4,600 conflict and shock-affected children in the hard-to-reach areas. OCCD will support the provision of, temporary learning space (TLS) in line with the standard community-based education CBE) package to children age 7 to 13, capacity building of teachers through teacher training, provision of light construction as well as teaching and learning material to public school and community mobilization and outreach to promote education rights of children.

Totally 40 TLS) 153 classrooms) covering at least 4,600 students and 50 of them are girls and train 153 teachers through the teacher training approaches and support 5 public schools with education materials and required rehabilitation. The project is for one year and funded by UN-OCHA through AHF.
