Provision of life-saving health and nutrition care to conflict-affected communities in Badakhshan province

The overall goal of this project is, to reduce the vulnerability of IDPs and other vulnerable in host communities through the provision of integrated lifesaving health and nutrition services in Badakhshan province. Under this project, OCCD established and maintained three aid trauma posts (FATPs) at the target districts to provide first aid, stabilization, and referral service to conflict and non-conflict trauma patients. 24/7 ambulance services are active for timely transportation of patients to the nearest hospitals. As well as OCCD provides nutrition services through an integrated mobile health/nutrition team (MHNT) in Faizabad city. The MHNT also provides Blanket Supplementary Food (BSP) for children 5-59 months and PLWs.

The project duration is one year, it started on the 15th of October 2021 and will be completed on the 14th of October 2022. The project is funded by AHF and implemented by OCCD in close coordination with MoPH.
