OCCD is implementing Essential Life-Saving Healthcare Services to Underserved Population and Nomads in Herat, Farah, Ghor and Badghis Provinces
OCCD is implementing primary health care services with support of WHO in west region through 25 HFs including BHCs, SHCs and MHTs in the white and underserved areas of the 19 target districts. The project ensures access to health and nutrition services to all 381,030 population in 4 targeted provinces through 25 different types of HFs.
The overall goal of this project is, to reduce morbidity and mortality among the vulnerable population with the particular focus on pregnant and lactating women and children under 5 and improve access to PHC services. The capacity of 299 health workers will be built by conducting BPHS essential trainings. The project started on 16th of March and will completed on 31 August 2023.
